Mission

The department strives to contribute to the expansion of knowledge in the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering by,

  • Developing problem solving and analytical skills in students with sound knowledge in basic sciences and Computer Science engineering.

  • Providing quality of education in highest standards by adopting efficient teaching learning process in correlation with industrial needs.

  • Ensuring technical proficiency and facilitating to carry out R&D activities.

  • Inculcating managerial skills to become socially responsible, ethical and competitive professionals.

 

Programme Educational Objectives

The graduates of Computer Science and Engineering:

  • Work in Multinational companies and become successful IT professionals.

  • Have to possess the ability to analyse , design and conduct experiments.
  • Pursue their career in educational institutions, research organizations and engineering consultancy companies and/or continue their higher studies at the reputed institutions in India/abroad.
  • Have social responsibility, team work skill, leadership capabilities and lifelong learning in their professional field.

 

Programme Specific Outcome

It is expected that the Computer Science and Engineering Graduates will;

  • Apply the algorithmic principles, programming, modeling and design of computer-based systems in solving engineering problems.

  • Experiment in software development, business intelligence and software testing sectors, involving themselves in SAP and JAVA related integrated development environment.

  • Use their technical expertise in technologies like storage, computing, communication and update their knowledge continuously in different tools in computer science and engineering to meet the industrial requirements and be successful in IT industry.

 

Programme Outcomes

The students should be able to acquire the following outcomes by fulfilling the objectives (POs) after successful completion of the courses.

  • Engineering Knowledge: Acquire the basic foundation of mathematics, science engineering fundamentals and its applications.

  • Problem Analysis: Possess sound knowledge in programming, analytical, logical and problem solving skills to understand, identify, formulate and solve problems in computer science and related problems.

  • Design / Development of Solution: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data,and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

  • Modern Tool Usage: Be able to use the techniques and modern engineering tools necessary for innovative solutions in core and related domains.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms on engineering activities such as, being able comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations.

  • Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

  • Individual and team work: Function well-mannered as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary environment.

  • The engineer and society: Possess leadership and management skills with professional practices and social concern.

  • Life-Long Learning skill: Be able to participate and succeed in various technical events and competitive examinations like GATE, TOEFL, GRE and GMAT and develop self-learning and life-long learning skills to pursue higher studies.

 

About the Department

The faculty of Computer Science & Engineering is the soul of many engineering branches. This field is instrumental in bringing the world to where it is today. Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) course was started in our institution in the year 2012.

 

Our department has dedicated, well-qualified and experienced faculty members who are specialists in the areas of Database, Data Mining, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Image Processing, Wireless Network, Artificial Neural Networks’, Information Security and Programming Languages. They actively involve themselves in research activities in the field of their specialization.

 

They have published a number of papers in Journals and Conferences of National and International repute. The department attributes its success to the creative and innovative outlook of its students also. It encourages students to participate in numerous symposiums and to present papers in them. Students are also made to undergo in-plant training programs, where they hone their technical skill in the realm of computers.
